1st time eating cereal!!

Hmm, not sure what I think about this, Mom.

Ok, I like it!

I want more!!

Pretty please??

My baby boy is growing up!! We fed him some oatmeal cereal for the first time the Sunday before Thanksgiving and he loved the stuff!! Both Jordan and I tried it as well, just a taste, and it does not taste good!! But Ryder has yet to try chicken wings or pizza so he doesn't know what he's missing out on.
I have a feeling that this boy will eat anything that's put in his mouth. I'm planning on starting veggies when he's 6 months old so I'm crossing my fingers that he'll love those as much as he loves his cereal!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy belated Thanksgiving!! I'm not the best blogger in the world, and my updates haven't been very consistent so far. You would think they would being a stay at home mom but I don't have as much free time as you might think.

Anyways, Ryder and I were lucky enough to fly down to Vegas for Thanksgiving to spend it with Jordan and his family. It was soooo good to see Jordan. It had been 7 weeks since we last saw him, way too long! We stayed with Jordan's mom for a few days, and then headed to his dad's for a couple of days.

The trip went by way too fast, even though we didn't do much. We really enjoyed the 65 degree weather, went on a few runs, and took Ryder on a bunch of walks. He really loves being outside and is very content sitting in his stroller while we push him along. I love that he loves the outdoors and I hope he always will.

Gotta love baths in the sink!

Hanging out in his new stroller, the Red Corvette.

All of the Bauerle boys.

We had such a great week in Vegas, I love my husband's family (well, now they are mine as well!) We hope to be relocating to Vegas in a few short weeks, if all works out. Hope you all are having a great holiday season!

Ryder, my mom, and I went to California last weekend for a family reunion. Here we are in the Denver Airport trying to kill 3 hours inbetween our flights.
Ryder and his Great Grandma!

4 Generations!

My beautiful cousins and I
The 3 of us had so much fun, and Ryder was so good on the flights. I was really glad that I had my mom's help though because traveling with a baby is hard work!! I'm lucky that Ryder is such an easygoing baby, it really made the trip much easier. This was his 3rd time flying and the flight attendants were joking around and told me I should get him his own frequent flier number!! I might just have to do that....
It was great to see the family. Sometimes I get sad living so far away because I would love to see everyone more often, but it gives me a great excuse to visit California! Since Ryder has been here I definitely see things differently and he has helped me appreciate the smaller things in life, like family. There's nothing better.

He's 4 Months!!

Dear Ryder,
I can't believe my little chunky monkey is 4 months old already!! Time sure is flying by. You make life so exciting and fun. I look forward to waking up just so I can watch you explore and discover your world. You make me smile and laugh all the time. And your feet and toes are your new favorite toy.
You're developing quite the personality!! You get your stubborness from me and your silliness from your dad. I love how you let me know you're ready to get up in the morning, how you love to lay on a blanket and stretch and stretch after waking up, I love how you give me "kisses", and how you smile at me with your whole body. It makes me feel so loved.
I feel so blessed to be your mom. I can't wait to watch you grow up and become whatever you want to be. Thank you for picking me.
Love, Mommy

He's 3.5 months!

I can never get enough of my baby boy, so here are a few recent pictures.

He loves the Denver Broncos, just like his daddy.
What a stud!
One of his favorite toys.
On his 3 month birthday.
P.S. I've been having a lot of fun lately editing my pictures using picnik =)

Happy Halloween!

Halloween isn't my favorite holiday to begin with........... But things definitely change when you have kids. All of my nieces and nephews came over on Saturday to decorate Halloween cookies. Prizes were given out for the best decorated cookies, and let's just say there were some interesting categories, like most depressing? Hmmm.... But everyone loved Ryder and couldn't get enough of him, of course. I mean, what's not to love?

Of course I didn't take Ryder trick or treating, but I just had to dress him up as a monkey. First of all, that's our nickname for him. And second, he already has a monkey rug and about 6 stuffed monkeys decorating his room, so it was fitting. However, he didn't really like being in his costume so I didn't get that many pictures. I'm glad I at least got a couple.

No Turning Back Now!

I finally did it. I officially registered, and paid for, my first ever half marathon. I've always wanted to run a half, and eventually, a full but something has always come up or I find a good excuse not to.

But now there's no turning back, otherwise I'm out $90. No thanks. So I'm committed. I've been running about 3 days a week for the past 5-6 weeks so I'm getting into better shape. And I've competed in 2 5Ks the past month which have given me the competitive racing bug again. I'll be following a 12 week training program which means I "officially" start training on November 16.

My race is the Surf City Marathon in Huntington Beach, CA on Sunday, February 7. It looks like a fairly flat, pretty course so I'm really excited. Who wouldn't be excited to run along the beach?

The First

I started a blog, obviously. I love reading other people's blogs and thought it would be a good opportunity for friends and family to stay connected in the life of the Bauerle's. Currently, our living situation is a little strange. Ryder and I have been living with my mom in MT for the past 2 months while Jordan is still in SLC working. Our goal is to relocate somewhere outside of UT so Jordan has been looking for jobs in MT, Denver, and Las Vegas, which is where his family lives. So basically, wherever he finds a job is where we'll be moving to. We like UT but just feel like the time is right for us to move. However, if Jordan can't find a job by the end of November then Ryder and I will move back to SLC for awhile.

It's been really hard living apart, especially now that we have Ryder but we're trusting that things will work out and that we'll be together soon. Ryder is growing like a weed. He's almost 3 and a half months already and is already weighing in at over 15 lbs. the last time I checked. He "talks" constantly, is rolling over all the time from his back to his belly, and is discovering his toys and all sorts of new things everyday. I love when he smiles whenever he sees me, it just melts my heart. He has been the biggest blessing and definitely worth the wait. I'm still figuring out the blogging world so I'll post some pictures soon.
