No Turning Back Now!

I finally did it. I officially registered, and paid for, my first ever half marathon. I've always wanted to run a half, and eventually, a full but something has always come up or I find a good excuse not to.

But now there's no turning back, otherwise I'm out $90. No thanks. So I'm committed. I've been running about 3 days a week for the past 5-6 weeks so I'm getting into better shape. And I've competed in 2 5Ks the past month which have given me the competitive racing bug again. I'll be following a 12 week training program which means I "officially" start training on November 16.

My race is the Surf City Marathon in Huntington Beach, CA on Sunday, February 7. It looks like a fairly flat, pretty course so I'm really excited. Who wouldn't be excited to run along the beach?

The First

I started a blog, obviously. I love reading other people's blogs and thought it would be a good opportunity for friends and family to stay connected in the life of the Bauerle's. Currently, our living situation is a little strange. Ryder and I have been living with my mom in MT for the past 2 months while Jordan is still in SLC working. Our goal is to relocate somewhere outside of UT so Jordan has been looking for jobs in MT, Denver, and Las Vegas, which is where his family lives. So basically, wherever he finds a job is where we'll be moving to. We like UT but just feel like the time is right for us to move. However, if Jordan can't find a job by the end of November then Ryder and I will move back to SLC for awhile.

It's been really hard living apart, especially now that we have Ryder but we're trusting that things will work out and that we'll be together soon. Ryder is growing like a weed. He's almost 3 and a half months already and is already weighing in at over 15 lbs. the last time I checked. He "talks" constantly, is rolling over all the time from his back to his belly, and is discovering his toys and all sorts of new things everyday. I love when he smiles whenever he sees me, it just melts my heart. He has been the biggest blessing and definitely worth the wait. I'm still figuring out the blogging world so I'll post some pictures soon.
